Me, after bringing my first FreeBSD based server into production state.
If you played around with Debian oder Gentoo before you might also give FreeBSD a shot. I think I will use it more in the future, it's a nice system.

Ja, Gentoo ist great (nutze auf meinem Rechner in der Arbeit und auf einigen anderen), aber echt nicht weit von FreeBSD entfernt.
Für Desktops würde ich es mittlerweile nicht mehr verwenden, es sei denn man bezahlt die Stromrechnung nicht selbst.
Ich handhab das ähnlich wie du: Oft müssen so "Kleinst-Server" ja auf älteren Kisten "die noch rumstehen" implementiert werden und Gentoo mit 500 MHz macht nicht so wirklich Spaß. Da nehm ich dann auch Debian.
